Il succ\u00e8de au pr\u00e9sident nig\u00e9rian <strong>Bola Ahmed Tinubu<\/strong>, brisant ainsi la tradition non \u00e9crite d\u2019alternance entre pr\u00e9sidents francophones, anglophones et lusophones \u2014 deux anglophones se succ\u00e9dant pour la premi\u00e8re fois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans son discours d\u2019investiture, le nouveau pr\u00e9sident de la CEDEAO a soulign\u00e9 que <strong>la r\u00e9gion est \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des chemins<\/strong>, promettant de concentrer son action sur <strong>la restauration de l\u2019ordre constitutionnel<\/strong>, <strong>le renforcement de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale<\/strong> et <strong>l\u2019int\u00e9gration \u00e9conomique<\/strong>. Un programme ambitieux alors que la sous-r\u00e9gion est confront\u00e9e \u00e0 une s\u00e9rie de crises s\u00e9curitaires, politiques et sociales, dont <strong>le terrorisme<\/strong>, <strong>l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 politique<\/strong>, et <strong>les trafics transfrontaliers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"715\" height=\"427\" src=\"https:\/\/mediatopnews.tg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/MANDA-BIO.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11597\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mediatopnews.tg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/MANDA-BIO.jpg 715w, https:\/\/mediatopnews.tg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/MANDA-BIO-300x179.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 715px) 100vw, 715px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Le sommet d\u2019Abuja a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9 par un tournant majeur : <strong>la d\u00e9signation d\u2019un n\u00e9gociateur<\/strong> pour encadrer le retrait du <strong>Mali<\/strong>, du <strong>Burkina Faso<\/strong> et du <strong>Niger<\/strong>, qui ont quitt\u00e9 la CEDEAO pour former l\u2019<strong>Alliance des \u00c9tats du Sahel (AES)<\/strong>. Leur d\u00e9part officiel est pr\u00e9vu pour <strong>fin juillet<\/strong>, cl\u00f4turant ainsi un chapitre d\u00e9licat de l\u2019histoire de l\u2019institution qui c\u00e9l\u00e8bre cette ann\u00e9e ses <strong>50 ans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quant au pr\u00e9sident sortant Bola Tinubu, il s\u2019est montr\u00e9 discret lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie, conc\u00e9dant que son mandat a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9 par de \u00ab rudes d\u00e9fis \u00bb. Il n\u2019a pas abord\u00e9 publiquement le d\u00e9part des trois pays sah\u00e9liens, se contentant de remettre un livret sur les r\u00e9alisations de son mandat.
