ANIÉ: SANURA Association and Human Development Fund Restore Sight to 100 Cataract Patients

The SANURA Association continues its humanitarian commitment to improving eye health in rural communities. With the financial support of its new partner, the Human Development Fund, the organization carried out a new cataract surgery campaign in Anié, Central Togo, from October 24 to 25, 2025.

A total of 100 cataract cases were successfully operated on by a skilled medical team, allowing many beneficiaries to regain their sight and hope for a better life.
Throughout the two days of surgery, patients were also provided with full meals, ensuring comfort and dignity during their recovery.

This initiative is part of SANURA’s ongoing efforts to fight preventable blindness and improve community well-being. The collaboration with Human Development Fund once again demonstrates that through solidarity and commitment, it is possible to bring tangible and lasting solutions to the health needs of vulnerable populations.

SANURA’s leadership expressed deep gratitude to all partners and volunteers who contributed to the success of this mission and reaffirmed their determination to extend this noble initiative to other regions across the country.
