Amaoudè: SANURA Association and ABDULLAH AID Deliver Modern and Sustainable Homes to Rural Communities
The dream of a better life has finally come true for the people of Amaoudè, a village in the Tchaoudjo 3 municipality. Through a strong partnership between the SANURA Association and its financial partner ABDULLAH AID, the project to build free modern homes has been successfully completed.
The official opening ceremony, held on October 18th, 2025, was attended by Mr. Agoro Sansani TCHEDRE, Mayor of Tchaoudjo 3, along with local authorities, traditional leaders, SANURA representatives, and community beneficiaries who gathered to celebrate this historic achievement.
Decent and Complete Housing
This ambitious initiative reflects SANURA’s humanitarian vision: to provide vulnerable families with safe, durable, and dignified housing. Each newly built home includes indoor toilets and showers, marking a significant step forward in the fight against open defecation and waterborne diseases.

In addition, a modern borehole has been installed to ensure access to clean and safe drinking water, greatly improving the community’s hygiene and living conditions.
An important innovation of this project is its focus on energy transition. Each home is powered by solar panels, reflecting the commitment to renewable energy and reducing dependence on non-sustainable sources. This environmentally friendly approach strengthens community resilience in the face of climate change.
A New Hope for Amaoudè
The atmosphere was filled of with emotion as families received their keys. One beneficiary expressed his joy, saying:
“Finally we are going to live in brick houses and protect ourselves from the wild animals.”
A simple yet powerful testimony that captures the profound impact of this project on the lives of many.
A Ceremony Marked by Gratitude
Under the watchful eyes of elders, women, and children gathered under colorful tents, SANURA representatives reaffirmed their commitment to community development, social well-being, and human dignity.
Mayor Agoro Sansani TCHEDRE praised this exemplary initiative, which complements government efforts in social housing, water access, hygiene improvement, and sustainable energy promotion.
Towards a More United and Greener Future
Through this project, SANURA and ABDULLAH AID have once again proven that international solidarity and community cooperation can transform lives.
The village of Amaoudè now stands as a model of successful humanitarian action, combining housing, clean water, sanitation, and renewable energy — paving the way for a sustainable and dignified future for all.
