Back to School: SANURA and AMOUD Support Education in Fulandi Guezerede
The joy was palpable in Fulandi Guezerede, northern Togo, as dozens of children lined up with bright smiles and eager faces. On this sunny August morning, the association SANURA, with the generous support of its partner AMOUD Relief & Development, organized a Back to School distribution that brought hope and motivation to an entire community.
This year, about 100 school kits including notebooks, pens, pencils, colors, and other essential supplies were handed out. The beneficiaries were carefully selected: orphans, high-achieving pupils, and young girls. For SANURA, the focus on girls’ education is not accidental but a deliberate effort to break barriers and encourage equity.

“Education is the key that opens doors for every child. With these kits, we want to show them that their dreams matter and that they are not alone,” said one of the SANURA volunteers during the ceremony.
The event gathered parents, teachers, community leaders, and local authorities, who applauded the initiative. Songs, prayers, and words of encouragement turned the distribution into a true celebration of learning.
But this initiative is not the first of its kind. In 2024, SANURA and AMOUD carried out a similar distribution in Lomé, benefiting dozens of children in the capital. That continuity shows the organizations’ commitment to investing in the future of Togolese youth.
For SANURA and AMOUD, education is more than just a right it is the foundation of development. By equipping children with school supplies and confidence, they are laying the bricks of a brighter future.
