Back to School: SANURA and Partners Support 300 Pupils in Agoè

The joy was written on the children’s faces in Agoè as the association SANURA, together with its partners Humanipedie, LIFE, and Human Development Fund (HDF), launched a new edition of its Back to School program, reaching 300 pupils this year.

Each child received a complete school kit containing a backpack, notebooks, pens, pencils, a ruler, a pencil case, a geometry set, and a water bottle. Beyond the supplies, the day was filled with games, motivating advice, and sharing of experiences, turning the event into a celebration of hope and education.

For more than five years, SANURA has carried out this initiative in different parts of Togo. Last August, the program supported children in the northern part of the country, and this time it was Agoè’s turn to benefit from this sustained effort.

The impact was tangible. “I am so happy because now I have everything I need for school. I will study hard to make my parents proud,” said a smiling pupil, clutching his new bag.

Parents also expressed their relief. “With the rising costs, it is difficult to buy all the school supplies. This support is a huge blessing for us and it motivates our children to succeed,” shared a mother of one of the beneficiaries.

Through the commitment of Humanipedie, LIFE, and the Human Development Fund, alongside SANURA’s leadership, the initiative reaffirms the belief that education is a powerful tool for empowerment and social change.

An open call is now made to other partners and supporters to join this cause, so that many more children across Togo can start the school year with confidence and dignity.
